Making changes

Together with our partners we are now looking to make improvements in three big areas of our business: carbon/energy efficiency, packaging and waste to landfill. We're very proud to have won Gold in the Environment Business Best Practice category of the Food and Drink Federation's (FDF) Community Partnership Awards 2009, for our environmental programme, which has enabled us to minimise the impact of our business on the environment and ensure our environmental strategy is embraced across all areas of our company. Julian Hunt, FDF Director of Communications, said: "All our winning initiatives demonstrate the different ways in which our industry is helping to educate, inspire and develop communities across the UK. And it’s great to see that companies are continuing to see the value of investing their time, money and effort into this work despite the economic slowdown."
