Our role in the community
If you're a Market Drayton local, chances are you’ve either worked for us or you know someone who has, such is the presence of Müller in the local community. We take pride in our role as the biggest employer and contributor to the local economy. We play a big part in our small community, not only as an employer, but also as a champion for Shropshire. Throughout the year, we contribute to local life through events, fundraising, employee volunteering, farm visits for primary school children, educational support and grant giving. We recently won Silver in the Local Community category of the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Community Partnership Awards 2009, for our programme of activities that have benefitted the lives of people in North Shropshire. Müller Dairy's Community Trust lies at the heart of the programme, which enables local groups and organisations, as well as farmers and Müller's employees, to apply for donations to use for good causes. We've been presented with our third CSR award this year, having won the Midlands Community Support Award 2009 which was announced at The Midlands Business Awards ceremony. We're very proud of our Shropshire heritage and are lucky to work in such beautiful surroundings. To find out more about Shropshire, go to www.shropshiretourism.info
